Volunteers are essential for Altitude Community Fitness! Volunteers staff the front desk, greet club users, and oversee logging members in on the computer or punching their punch cards. Volunteers field many questions throughout the day about the club and its activities, answer the phone, take messages, accept payments from members for their dues and punch cards, and generally act as the first point of contact for all club users. Sometimes there will be light office work to be done as well. Overall it can be a great way to meet new people and provide an important service for the community. Good customer service skills are important, and computer knowledge is not necessary. Volunteers are encouraged to be trained in CPR and the use of the AED (the automatic defibrillator), but this is not required. Altitude Community Fitness will provide this training if any volunteer wants it.
Our volunteers receive discounts on their membership dues in exchange for working volunteer hours. Currently, when your volunteer time reaches 24 hours, you will receive a month of membership for free. Find out more by contacting Altitude Community Fitness. There many ways to help out and we would love to utilize your special skills. Volunteers also do things around the club like mow the surrounding property, shovel snow as needed, clean windows, and more. Let us know if you have a skill to donate or trade.
